<p data-start="87" data-end="533">Hello, my name is Kiyana Akins, fittingly, the root word Akin lives in my last name. So being a connector, relating, and building compatibility with my peers has always come naturally to me. As an Education Policy professional based in Washington, D.C., I spend my days crafting digital communication strategies that expand access to Advanced Placement courses and SAT testing for high school and college students across the country.</p> <p data-start="535" data-end="984">Beyond the day-to-day, I love unpacking the intersection of public policy, communications, and cultural conversations and exploring how industries influence narratives, shape perceptions, and ultimately how we experience the world. I'm always curious about how strategic messaging can bridge gaps between institutions and the communities they serve. I enjoy yielding to culture and digital conversations to understand why things matter, what's in it for certain communities, and analyzing what moves people and how it ties into the work I do.</p>
