I am an only child from Charlotte North Carolina. Growing up I constantly was reminded of the saying "the world is bigger than your backyard." This quote enhanced my passion for traveling and played a major role in my upbringing. When looking for jobs or internships I always emphasize that I am willing to travel or relocate because I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures. I am the National Planning Director for The National Society of Minorites In Hospitality. I serve as the Public Relations Chair on the Junior Class Council for NC Central. I also am the treasurer of a student organization known as Universal Vidya. This organization focuses on raising awareness of the importance of gaining knowledge and education on 21st-century skills. Teaching our peers what they don't learn in the classroom so that they can thrive as adults beyond college. I enjoy sharing my experiences with my peers because I express that the opportunities beyond your hometown are limitless if you apply yourself. My internships and job experiences in college have allowed me to grasp an idea of the type of company environments I want to work for post-graduation. I want to work for a company that practices developing leaders from within, DEI, and open door policy. I am open to many positions in the communications industry and purposely learn transferrable skills so that I am useful in all areas of the industry.</span></p>
