About

I am a art director, visual artist, graphic designer, illustrator and art educator. In my free time I dedicate myself to collective actions that encourage liberation through art and knowledge.  Since 2006, I have been developing graphic work and illustrations for independent publishers from outskirts cultural production in my city. Art publisher awarded for excellence in Design by the Society for News Design 2012 and by Editora Globo in 2013. Responsible for visual communication and graphic design of the projects whon cares for black lives alive in Brasil (Movimento Mães de Maio), literature program in public schools and in the peripheries (Edições Um por Todos - Pode Pá que é Nóis que Tá) and for womans right at Observatória dos Direitos e Cidadania da Mulher - Observatory of Women's Rights and Citizenship. I also collaborate as a designer and illustrator for the publishings Editoras Oralituras, Editora Mjiba and the womans right web site Think Olga (www.thingolga.com.br). I am the creator, producer and licker of the urban intervention POESIA NOS MUROS since 2014 pasting poetry in the guetto's walls. I held my first solo exhibition SILVANA MARTINS - DESIGNER OF FIGHTS with more than 70 illustrated posters from all the cultural activities I have been illustrated since 2008 in the program of the 7th Anarchist and Punk Film Festival of SP (2018).  I master desktop publishing and illustration programs from the Adobe Suite, including video editing programs.   I speak English almost fluently and have an intermediate level of Spanish.
