About

I am the oldest daughter of Mexican immigrants and grew up in South East Los Angeles. Ever since I can remember, I've always been driven to take care of my family and create more opportunities for my communities. When I learned about systems of oppression, my focus became gaining skills to solve the problems that impact us the most.

I was pursuing a career in policy when I started working at the Geena Davis Insitute and learned how in many ways, media is more impactful and proactive in making change compared to a policy that was reactive and slower. As I interned for the Hispanic Heritage Foundation on their Code as a Second Language initiative, my passion for data and technology also grew.

I sought a job at Nielsen upon graduation because similar to policy, it is an institutional company with the power to make fundamental changes in the media industry. Today, my vision is to embed diversity in our day-to-day business decisions, utilizing data and technology to empower networks, distributors, agencies, media companies, advertisers, and more to own their inclusion narrative and offer a way to evaluate the impact diverse content has on audiences.

When I'm not at work, I support my friend's community organizing and mutual aid efforts, and Latina-owned businesses.
