My name is Keiarra McLean, and I’m a senior-level copywriter with five years of experience in the social-first digital space. As a natural-born storyteller, I’ve contributed to numerous social campaigns for household brands like Sprite, Peace Tea, Target, Tinder, and many more. I take pride in my ambition, drive, and intentionality, which are qualities that keep me solutions-focused, in tune with pop culture, and always evolving. I am a proud first-generation college graduate, earning my Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Georgia State University. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia (the real Atlanta, not the fake Atlanta), I witnessed Black excellence at the highest level throughout my life. As the home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Atlanta carries a legacy that continues to inspire me. This influence has shaped my passion for diversity and fueled my commitment to using my voice to advocate for meaningful social change in communities of color. I began my advertising career in 2020 through an internship specifically designed to help Black creatives break into the industry. That opportunity changed my life, opening doors I never knew existed. Since then, I have made it my mission to give back, helping creatives of color enter the industry through referrals, advocacy, and 1:1 mentorship. Currently, I’m a Senior Copywriter at Movers+Shakers ATL, where I primarily work on Target—one of the world’s biggest retail brands. In my role, I collaborate with my incredible team to strategize and develop innovative, social-first campaigns for all Target channels. Beyond my work in advertising, I run Flurry Lifestyle (flurrylifestyle.com), an online platform dedicated to sharing the stories of BIPOC creatives. Flurry is my passion, and its mission is to amplify the voices of creatives of color, strengthen our community, and foster vulnerability within a safe space. I design all of Flurry’s social, website, and zine content while leading a team of talented creatives who contribute to our print zine. One of my biggest goals is to grow Flurry into an international brand that celebrates art, pop culture, music, and more. I am a dedicated, adaptable, and forward-thinking creative. I truly believe my purpose is to use my creativity to make the world a little more colorful. After all, what is life without art?
