<p>If there was one word to describe my life, it would be the word "involved". In order to make critical progress forward, I knew from a young age that I would need to be involved in many prospects. I love digging in and making impactful contributions to the opportunities I've graciously been a part of.</p> <p> </p> <p>To break into the creative advertising space, I was an inaugural member of The Academy at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, The One School Chicago, and Meta's creative talent program NeXt Up. These programs were the backbone of my design education and where I gained my confidence as a Black woman working in tech. From there, I've been making room and opening doors for more young creatives to make their way into the advertising world. I remember the cheerleaders I had/have and want to make everyone feel like they fit in.</p> <p> </p> <p>When not working, I'm continuing to build connections in my community and ways for personal growth. I teach adults and kids how to sew and volunteer with a community garden focusing on food and environmental justice in Oakland, California. These spaces are a soft place for me to land and in turn, I work to make them feel the same way for others!<br><br><br></p>
