About

Hi, I'm Antoinette! I'm a multi-talented, eager, and steadfast media professional and content creator with a passion for communication and building community. Beginning my media career as a journalist, I learned to navigate unfamiliar territory with confidence and desire for answers and solutions. Now, as I navigate the world of radio in Atlanta, I continue to strengthen my understanding of different communities, genres and more. A few years ago, I began a podcast called, "What's Up With Your Friend". It was first meant to be my own platform to talk about hot topics and entertainment news. However, there are times in the creative journey when your vision shifts. I am rebranding "What's Up With Your Friend" to be all encompassing of the many interests that find me, life experiences I face as a Black woman and to showcase "the journey" — all while finding the humor in it all. As I elevate in my career space, I aim to foster a community for those still figuring it out, or who may have taken the scenic route in getting to their destination. In my current role, I assist in the marketing and promotions for Atlanta's "94.9 The Bull" Country Radio station. As a lifelong lover of R&B music, I was initially hesitant of taking on the task. But, as a curious individual who doesn't turn away from challenges, I knew I would approach the genre with open arms and a unique perspective than the typical listener in the demographic. In this space, I've learned about some amazing artists, helped coordinate live events for the station's nationally syndicated show and submitted countless promotional proposals for emerging and A-List artists in the country music world.  With my career beginning in journalism, transitioning through the uncertain periods and returning back to media, I've learned that my brand is resilience. I know that on any team, I'm a strong component in the success we build together and I plan to continue that trend wherever I go.
