I am currently studying Documentary Film and Education at Spelman college. By studying Documentary Films, I am learning about the importance of storytelling. When I was growing up, there was nothing I loved more than T.V., specifically cartoons. Something about false realities and all the different characters always caught my eye. I viewed characters on T.V. and what I saw at school as the norm even though I was personally not particularly like the people I admired. It would have been momentous to see stories I could relate to and learn from. In the future I aspire to be a part of a creative team either in development or production that celebrates a variety of characters and identities.</span></p>
