About

🎬 The Beginning

I have always been a creator.

As a kid, I sang, danced, performed, and took up space—without hesitation, without questioning if I was good enough, without waiting for permission.

Creativity wasn’t something I pursued; it was something I embodied.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling safe in that expression.
The world told me who I should be, and I listened.

I traded my true self for a curated version—more palatable, more polished, more… acceptable.

So, I hid.

I became a people-pleaser.
I followed paths I thought I should be taking.
And in the process…

I stopped trusting my own voice.
I stopped honoring my creative instincts.
I became deeply misaligned—internally and externally.

That misalignment morphed into severe social anxiety and, eventually, selective mutism—my body’s way of protecting me from the fear of being seen.

At the height of my brand strategy career—pioneering Twitter’s global Cultural Strategy Initiative during the George Floyd protests—I was leading publicly, but suffering silently.

In meetings I was meant to lead, I could barely speak.
Words that once came easily felt impossible to find.
How could I, a visible leader expected to be confident and composed, be struggling just to participate?

I wasn’t just afraid to speak.
I couldn’t.
I had become a prisoner of my own mind.

The incentive to be heard disappeared.
I became a shadow of Kid Keyaira—once fearless and expressive, now silent and watching from the sidelines as my voice, my essence, my power slipped away.

Then, one winter day, my newlywed husband told me about psychedelics being used to treat anxiety and depression.

“Psychedelics?! Like magic mushrooms?! Are healing people?!”

I was perplexed. But the Gemini moon in me? Curious.
I spent the next few days devouring YouTube videos, reading research, and rediscovering hope.

I found a plant medicine retreat in Ensenada, Mexico.
Within 72 hours, I booked my spot, packed my fear, and got on a plane.

I was determined to no longer let my anxiety define me.

🌿 The Awakening

What happened in those two days, sitting with a Shaman who prescribed a Hero’s Dose of Mazatapec psilocybin, is hard to describe—but it changed everything.

That journey cracked open the gates of my subconscious.
I sat at the seat of my soul.
I found deep wisdom.
I met my divine intuition.
And I remembered sweet Kid Keyaira again.

For the first time in my life, I felt safe.
I felt loved.
I felt… home.

💫 The Return

I came back smiling from the inside out.
The fog of anxiety lifted, revealing its roots: a lack of self-love. A lack of self-trust.

I had traded creative freedom for approval, and authenticity for fear.
I hadn’t stopped creating—I had just been creating unconsciously.
Surviving, not living.

And that realization cracked something open in me.

In that space, I met myself again—with honesty, with grace.
I finally understood what it meant to love myself.
And from that love came courage:

To speak.
To be still.
To be seen.

Destiny has a way of calling you back home—and I answered.

But to get there, I had to evolve it, to solve it.
And once I did, I didn’t just start creating again—I started creating consciously.

🌍 The Mission

That inner transformation didn’t just shift how I saw myself—it redefined how I serve others.
I realized how many other creatives, founders, and even brands were suffering from the same misalignment I had lived through.

So, my mission became clear:

To guide others out of obscurity and into authentic alignment.
Because obscurity doesn’t always mean the world can’t see you—
Sometimes, it means you’ve forgotten how to see yourself.

That healing gave birth to something bigger than me—
A mission to build the ecosystems I once needed.
To help others come home to themselves, too.

💼 The Work

At The Garage San Francisco (TGSF) at Northwestern University, I’m mobilizing the 16,000+ alumni in the Bay Area to fuel community-driven innovation through Ignite—a six-month accelerator built on the Who Not How philosophy, helping early-stage founders find the right “who” to scale their “how.”

At Spice & Sage, my Conscious Creation Incubator, I help entrepreneurs translate internal wisdom into external influence—guiding them to build magnetic, purpose-driven brands and businesses.

Through Cosmic Queens Mastermind, I work specifically with Black women creators, helping them feel safe to be seen, step into their spotlight, and reclaim their creative power.

Each of these initiatives is built on one belief:

👉🏾 Alignment first. Visibility second.
👉🏾 You must see yourself before the world can see you.
👉🏾 Internal clarity creates external impact.

Though these programs are new, they’re rooted in a decade of experience helping brands and individuals find alignment—because aligned people build aligned things.

🌟 The Legacy

This is the most important work of my life.
Because in doing it, I serve:

The little girl who stopped singing.
The creators still waiting to be seen.
The world that needs our stories now more than ever.

I honor you, Kid Keyaira—

By living out loud.
By building platforms for others to do the same.
And by making sure that no one who’s meant to be seen stays hidden. ✨
