I attend my HBCU, Xavier University of Louisiana. I'm a junior, a Mass Communication major, a Performance Studies minor, and a student-athlete on the women’s tennis team. Being so involved in college, and being able to do so many things, I have often found it difficult to figure out where I was headed. However, that’s what college is for I suppose. I’m an actress, and acting is something I’m always going to pursue. But, I’ve never wanted to be subjected to just one thing. I’m all for loving something enough to put all your eggs in one basket, but I’m more interested in not being limited to just one thing. I believe when God gives you gifts, it’s your duty to use them all and not dismiss any. While in college, I’ve proven how well rounded I am, as well as my ability to do multiple things effectively. I’m a student athlete on the women’s tennis team. As I’ve been competing as a student-athlete at Xavier, I’ve become the number 1 player on the team since freshman year, two times All-American, two times All Louisiana, Freshman of the year, Player of the year, and I was also awarded with the Champions of Character award. I signed with my first acting agent, acted in a short film, booked my first feature film, and played a role in the show All American Homecoming. I’ve worked on campus as the sports journalist for our school newspaper, been on various social media teams as the social media manager, worked as the casting director for a short film, worked two internships in one semester, while still making the Dean’s List every year, and maintaining a 3.89 GPA. </span><span style="font-family: Georgia; font-size: 12pt;">I’m incredibly grateful, and blessed to be given the strength to take on so much, and still excel. You may be wondering why I’m mentioning all of this. I simply just want to say I am driven. There is nothing I love more than committing to something, and giving my all to it. When I put my mind to something, there’s nothing I can do other than get it done. </span></p> </div> </div> </div> </div> <p> </p> <div class="page" title="Page 1"> <div class="section" style="background-color: rgb(100.000000%, 100.000000%, 100.000000%);"> <div class="layoutArea"> <div class="column"> </div> </div> </div> </div>
