<p>Growing up as a first-generation Indonesian-American in Queens, NYC, I was surrounded by a rich diversity that embraced and celebrated differences. This background is what fuels my personal mission to uplift those who come from similar backgrounds to me —those from low-income, immigrant families without any financial means or networks. I work to inspire and empower young professionals from similar backgrounds to break barriers and make their voices heard through mentorship, volunteerism, and speaking on various panels. </p> <p>Without programs like MAIP, mentorship from industry leaders, and peer support, I wouldn't be here today. I'm very fortunate to now say that I am almost five years into the ad industry, working with clients like Google, Captain Morgan, and KeyBank. </p>
