<p>Hirra Farooqi is a trailblazer and advocate for underrepresented voices in film. Hirra founded the Muslim International Film Festival, an org that champions diversity on screen, amplifying untold narratives and celebrates Muslim Excellence in film. Graduating from TMU with her Bachelor of Journalism, she transitioned to documentary filmmaking, learning the impact of visual storytelling on projects like <a href="https://thesecretmarathon.com/"><em>The Secret Marathon</em><span class="sr-only-no-select"> (external link) </span></a> and <a href="https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12262260/">Broken Courage<span class="sr-only-no-select"> (external link) </span></a>.
