About

My name is Katherine Bowens, and I am a Sr. Digital Account Manager at Paramount Global. I am truly living out my childhood dreams! I made it into Paramount Global working in Digital Media, Entertainment, and Advertising, helping to sell and manage campaigns for tent pole events such as The Superbowl and The Grammys, and for content such as Yellowstone, and Halo. I was not born with any personal industry connections, social, or political power, yet- I have managed to gain a seat at the table at some very powerful, notable companies. I started my career as a Digital Media Associate at Starcom Mediavest Group on the Microsoft account, supporting their CRM tool- Dynamics. Since then, I have held various positions in Digital Advertising, including-- Digital Campaign Specialist, Digital Account Planner, Digital Account Manager, and now Sr. Digital Account Manager for companies such as The Chicago Sun-Times, Tribune Media (Supporting LA Times and Chicago Tribune), and CBS Interactive/Paramount. Since starting my career in 2011, I have been fortunate to work with over 100+ brands over the course of my career, including several Fortune 100 and 500 companies. As the most senior Digital Account Manager on my team, I have helped build Paramount's Midwest Digital Ad Sales revenue to over $100 million dollars annually over my near decade career at CBS Interactive/Paramount. I have also been chosen to represent Paramount publically, speaking as a Panelist at the Chicago Ad Federation's Career Day, and moderating Sales Associate Panel Discussions on behalf of Paramount to recruit Ad Sales Associates. I love working in Digital Media, Entertainment, and Advertising, and I am fortunate enough to have achieved many of my dreams---but I have even bigger dreams, a community to serve, and a purpose to fulfill. I would be so fortunate to have the opportunity to build lasting connections at Cannes with the Cannes Can Diversity Collective as an Ambassador. I would ultimately like to someday own my media company that is equally as powerful as Paramount, but in the immediate future I aspire to continue rising the ranks in Advertising Sales at some of the world's most powerful media companies. I want to be a leader in the Digital Advertising space, and I want to be involved in the evolution, innovation, and regulation of Ai and the role that it plays in the future of Digital Advertising and Marketing. I believe that this Cannes Ambassador opportunity would create lasting connections and links to propel me forward in achieving my dreams of being a leader in the Digital Media, Entertainment, and Advertising spaces while owning a powerful media company as I work to help make the world a better place.
