Sofia Fugón (she/her) is a Latinx DEI strategist and communications professional based in New York City. At Omnicom Group, she worked at the center directly with C-suite executives assisting with the creation and expansion of global DEI programs, policies, and communications across the holding company’s network of 1500+ agencies and 80k+ employees. Previously, she interned in the integrated production department at Hill Holliday supporting the Santander account. She was also the winnner of the agency’s new business pitch competition and got the opportunity to present her project to senior leadership, including the company’s President and CEO. Sofia is passionate about building community and amplifying the diverse voices. In 2022 she started series of events titled ‘Central Americans in Music and Entertainment’ with the goal of bringing creatives from the region together and facilitate collaboration. The series has now been included in the programming for New York’s music week and the Latin GRAMMYs, and has been featured in local and international media. She is a graduate of the City University of New York (CUNY Baruch), where she earned a BA in Business Communications with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
