About

I've always seen myself as a creative person. In high school, I spent most of my free time making videos, practicing photography, or writing. When it was time to think about college, I went in with dreams of becoming a film director—though I definitely underestimated how tough it is to break into such a competitive industry.

When I decided to transfer schools, a relative suggested I use my creative talents for marketing and advertising. I was skeptical at first, but during an intro course, I learned about Domino's rebrand and got hooked. I started picturing myself as a creative director.

I landed my first internship as a copywriter at Tierney, a full-service communications agency in Philly, working on clients like Xfinity, TD Bank, and Independence Blue Cross. Getting paid to be creative and seeing my work published was an amazing feeling. But by the end of the internship, I realized something—while I enjoyed the work, I didn't feel the same passion for writing copy as some of my colleagues who wrote short stories and scripts outside of work. I started asking myself: How can I be creative without being in the creative department?

Funny enough, Kanye West—before all the controversies—played a big role in shaping my career path. I watched a documentary about his friendship with Virgil Abloh, and Kanye described their dynamic like, “I’m the guy with the ideas, and Virgil is the architect.” That line unlocked something in me. I realized my passion lies in having creative visions and collaborating with people who bring those ideas to life—that’s when I discovered strategy.

I got my first strategy internship through the 4As MAIP program, working on clients like YouTube and The North Face. It taught me how strategic insights transform into impactful creative campaigns. From there, I joined Verizon's adfellows program, where I explored different disciplines across the brand’s ecosystem. When it wrapped, I interviewed for a junior connections strategy role at The Community, which happened to be a partner of the program. I bet on myself, leaned into my aspirations of becoming a creative strategist ... and the rest is history.
