About
<p>My name is Riad Mahmuti, and my journey into tech is rooted in resilience. I came to the United States as a refugee from Kosovo, where my family fled conflict in search of safety and stability. I was young when we arrived, and everything was unfamiliar a new language, a new culture, and a new life to build from the ground up. Growing up in that environment taught me how to adapt quickly, work hard, and never lose sight of what’s possible, even in the face of uncertainty. I started out in customer-facing jobs, learning how to problem-solve and communicate under pressure, but I was always drawn to how things worked behind the scenes the systems, the logic, the code. That curiosity led me to pursue a full-stack Java bootcamp, which opened the door to backend development and data engineering. Today, I work at Wells Fargo building APIs, writing complex SQL, and managing data pipelines, all while earning my degree in Data Management. Being a refugee shaped my drive and perspective it’s why I don’t take opportunities lightly, and why I’m committed to growing in this field and making an impact.</p>
