Hi! I'm Leigha: I'm a self-proclaimed Wonder Woman in the world of Comms and Social Strategy.   I'm currently the Head of Comms Strategy at TBWA\Chiat\Day NY and work hard to be a part of the heartbeat of this rebellious global creative agency. TBWA\Chiat\Day NY has a knack for popping conventional thought bubbles and crafting audacious ideas that give the status quo a swift kick in the pants. We are Pirates after all!   With two decades of industry experience, I've been on teams behind numerous groundbreaking campaigns, like Levi's Greatest Story Ever Worn and Hennessy' x NBA's Unshattered with Victor Solomon and Mattress Firm's Junk Sleep. I've worked across Coca-Cola's entire portfolio and got the chance to spend the night on a Navy aircraft carrier while working on US Navy.   I've worked on some incredible brands and my career has taught me that I love comms planning, social and digital strategy, content, brand positioning, audience segmentation and data-driven insights as much as the Kardashians love press headlines.   I'm not just about business; I'm also very passionate about my purpose. We need more diverse talent in advertising at all levels of the hierarchy. While at Droga5, I co-led the Black employee affinity group, KINFOLK, and I try to always champion diversity and inclusion in an industry that's still learning to walk that talk.   I'm a connoisseur of culture, and like the latest Beyoncé track, I seek out how our work can echo across diverse audience terrains and connect communities, especially in intersectional ways.   I'm a Southern woman living in NYC and my passion for BBQ and Carolina basketball is slightly unhinged. I have encyclopedic knowledge when it comes to music and one of the greatest experiences of my life was seeing Prince perform Purple Rain for the last time before his passing. As a freelance concert photographer, I've shot the Rolling Stones, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz and my personal ATL favorites, OutKast.   I try to bring all of my life experiences with me everyday to try make the work better, our teams feel supported and empowered so they can grow and to make everything around me have just a little bit more sparkle.
