<p>I'm a full stack software engineer with 5 years experience developing web sites & apps. The most recent of which was a virtual herbarium & plant search engine used by botanists to research specimens found in the Caribbean. I lean a bit more backend (currently using Java) and on the front end I use React with JavaScript (but slowly transitioning to TypeScript). In the past I've worked as a software dev instructor and currently I help lead a DS&A study group for black software engineers preparing for interviews. In the future I'd like to work on more challenging problems and expand my skillset into AI/ML & distributed systems. I'm big on communication and collaborative problem solving and consider myself to be pretty versatile.</p>
