<p data-start="236" data-end="786">I’m Sharday Urtarte, a Dominican communication strategist and White House correspondent. I turn policy into something people can feel—connecting legislation to the daily lives of Black communities in urban America. Whether mobilizing voters at Planned Parenthood, fighting for incarcerated women through the Frederick Douglass Project, or writing initiatives that activate thousands, I ensure advocacy doesn’t stop at awareness—it moves people to action. That’s why I authored the Abortion Rights & Black Maternal Health Civic Engagement Initiative for the National Urban League Young Professionals, engaging over 10,000 members nationwide. It’s also why I served on the 2024 Civil Court Independent Screening Panel for The New York County Democratic Committee—to help ensure the people deciding our future reflect the communities they serve. I don’t just amplify voices—I help turn them into power.</p>
