My parents’ journey from the Caribbean island of Jamaica to the United States in the late 1970s has instilled in a deep sense of appreciation for the stories of those often overlooked and passed over by the people in power, though they're usually closest to the pain and solutions. Their stories and experiences have fueled my passion for amplifying voices and bridging cultural divides. </p> <p dir="ltr">As a journalist, commentator, and educator, I am committed to using storytelling as a catalyst for change.
