About

Growing up, I rarely saw women who looked like me shaping the narratives of global fashion, media, and marketing. Yet, I knew that the industry needed fresh perspectives—voices that could bridge culture, commerce, and creativity. As a recent Economics graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, I have built my career at the intersection of fashion, marketing, and media, leveraging both analytical and creative skills to craft compelling brand stories. My journey as a woman of color breaking into PR and marketing has been defined by defying expectations, forging connections, and amplifying diverse perspectives in the industry.

I have had the privilege of working across some of the world’s most influential fashion capitals—Paris, Milan, New York, and the Bay Area—each experience shaping my understanding of branding, storytelling, and audience engagement. At Paris and Milan Fashion Week, I represented Fashion and Student Trends (FAST), leading PR initiatives and forging partnerships with luxury brands such as Stuart Weitzman, Magda Butrym, Victoria Beckham, and Ports 1961. Immersed in the world of high fashion, I learned how luxury brands craft exclusivity through storytelling, yet I also saw firsthand the industry’s gaps in inclusivity.

At Tommy Hilfiger in New York, I worked in merchandising, where I analyzed key performance indicators, customer data, and trend forecasts to shape product assortments. This experience gave me a deep appreciation for how brand messaging translates from runway to retail. In the Bay Area, I have worked in fashion consulting, marketing, and PR, collaborating with brands like Hugo Boss, Hermès, and FILA to develop brand positioning strategies and experiential activations that resonate with Gen Z consumers. Whether leading the creation of FILA’s first nationwide college ambassador program or directing influencer campaigns, I have constantly worked to bridge fashion, culture, and community.

My background in economics and business strategy has given me a unique perspective on consumer behavior, market trends, and the business of fashion. Now, I want to take these experiences and channel them into the advertising and marketing industries, not just to grow, but to share my insights and reshape the way fashion and art-based storytelling exists in media. The Cannes Can: Diversity Collective represents the next step in my journey—a platform where I can bring my global perspective to conversations around branding, diversity, and inclusion in advertising.

This opportunity will change the way I show up in the industry. It will allow me to deepen my expertise, connect with like-minded changemakers, and ultimately push for greater representation in the spaces where media, culture, and commerce intersect. I am eager to contribute my lens as a Berkeley-educated economist and global fashion marketing strategist, and I believe that CC:DC is the ideal platform to turn those insights into action.
