During her time at NYU, she studied at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she created her own interdisciplinary major that explored themes of ‘childhood trauma, marginalization, and othering’. </span></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"> </p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">It was her experience at NYU that directly led to her work with The One Club for Creativity as a DE&I Fellow, where she helped organize “Where Are All the Black People?”, an annual diversity conference and career fair. </span></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"> </p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Recently, Sterling landed her first role post-college at SYPartners where she sits on the People Team as a coordinator. She is devoted to the cause of DE&I and committed to creating just and equitable workplaces and social spaces. It is her passion to help remove systemic, cultural, and societal barriers and she has already had some experience with this through professional and volunteer activities that she’s participated in. </span></p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"> </p> <p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Outside of this work, however, she also enjoys screenwriting, content creation, and public speaking. In the future, she hopes to write and direct an Emmy award-winning television show and publicly speak at DE&I conferences across the globe. </span></p>
